Remembering Lisa Rose

Today is my beautiful Lisa Rose's birthday.  She was born the day after Easter 20 years ago. She was tragically killed on December 15, 2005 as a passenger in a car coming home from a high school practice.  She was only 17 years old and had just received her long awaited college acceptance letter the week before.
She had always been an extraordinary and talented child, but she had just bloomed into an amazing young woman.  I will never accept that it was "her time" because she was so happy and so looking forward to her future.  Life was just beginning for her.
I miss her terribly and not a moment goes by that I am not thinking of her.  Lisa Rose will always be with me,  my family, and her friends in memories and spirit forever.

What a beautiful girl Lisa was. From reading your post, it seems she was just as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. My heart aches for you -- no parent should ever have to go through what you're going through. Unfortunately, my parents understand all too well how you feel because of the unexpected loss of our own Lisa.

I've been thinking about you lately and kept intending to email you to see how you were doing. I enjoyed the email conversations we had several months ago. Time flies by so quickly now -- I just don't understand how it does that. I just happened on your blog by accident, and I'm so glad I did.

I'll be back to check in regularly. Big hugs from Petunia and me!

I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of Lisa. She went to heaven the day before our Zeke was born. (Who is now also in heaven.) I know how hard this is--my prayers are with you.

Oh My Word. How heartbreaking. She was a truly beautiful young lady. Our prayers are with your family. She is always going to be your angel.
This post made me really think alot about how eager I have been for my daughter to get her license so I can get a break from driving her to practices after school but I will now take time to rethink that eagerness and to remember to always say an extra prayer for her safety each time she gets in the car.
It is so heartwarming to see that you recognize that God chose this as "her time" but I can only imagine how you must feel about that being so impossible.
Keep your Faith and share this story with as many parents as you can because I am going to pray tha it will touch at least one parents heart to realize how special each child is in this world!!!!
Thank You for sharing a story that must tear at your heart so deeply~~~~
