Refingerprinting

Life isn't experienced in full unless you have been fingerprinted not once but twice!  Our fingerprints expire tomorrow, so after 2 months of endless e-mails, snail mail, and 3 weeks of attempted phone calls (on Wed only between 1:00 - 4:00 pm when the line is constantly busy),we had the privilege of driving to Newark, NJ to stand in a line of 100 people and be treated as if we had a collective IQ of 10.  Well, I'm relieved to report that Loren and I have the same fingerprints that we had fifteen months ago!
We are still waiting for our much anticipated referral, but we know for sure if we receive one it will be before Sept. 1. So the good news is that we are down to the last few weeks of waiting.  The bad news is that we are waiting during the final days that referrals can be made so hopefully we will make the cut off date.
I would post a cute picture of our dog, our two cats, or our bunny looking bored with all the endless waiting, but our daughter is in charge of my blog graphics and she is in camp doing more exciting things than helping her computer challenged mom.
We have been DTV since July 6, 2007 so I think we have waited LONG ENOUGH. Hopefully my next post will have some exciting news :)

The whole refingerprinting this is so silly! I've been fingerprinted three times for this adoption, because my state requires an old fashioned fingerprinting at the police station for the home study too.

Sending good thoughts your way always that your referral comes soon!

Wow! We are on similiar time-lines. I was DTV in July 2007 as well and was just re-fingerprinted too. I completely understand. And I've had to update my homestudy to file for the 1 time free I71-H! The worst of all is that I lost my referral in June! Words cannot explain the heartache and now waiting again for another referral with Sept. 1 right around the corner. I heard international adoption was a roller-coaster of emotions--it sure is! Here's praying for more referrals before Sept. 1

Hi Susan!

I just got your comment on my blog, and I wanted to make sure we have your baby on our list for pictures. Can you email me at hines4christ @ carolina.rr.com (with no spaces) as soon as possible?

Thank you! :-)

I'm sorry--I just went back and read your comment--I didn't realize you didn't already have a referral. I will take lots of pictures of waiting babies and hopefully your little sweetie will be one of them! :-)
